Body massage is the foundation for any holistic therapist, and a really important skill to learn.

In this course you the basic skills of swedish full body massage enabling you to set up professionally as a massage therapist and have a foundational course for doing more advanced massage courses.

You will study Anatomy & Physiology and massage theory through an online portal - this enables us to teach the practical side in a short time as there is no theory or assignment work taking place in class (in longer courses, the majority of work spent in class is on theory/assignments)

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?

5 week practical + home study online.

  • A full body massage which you can offer as a stand alone treatment and also break into smaller treatments for your clients, such as back, neck shoulder massage or head and face massage.
  • You will learn energetic protection, stretching the body and pressure points for opening the energy.
  • You will learn swedish massage techniques, including effleurage, pettrisage, kneading, wringing and tapotment.
  • You will learn proper posture for you as a therapist - so important for your longevity as a massage therapist
  • You will learn proper positioning and bolstering for client comfort.
  • Aftercare advice for your clients and how you can ensure repeat clients.

Online Theory Modules

Studied through an online portal, with videos and assessment questions. Resources with clear diagrams and images are included to give you the best possible learning experience. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment.
